My
favourite movies are the ones that belong to the saga of The Lord of the Rings,
directed by Peter Jackson. The first time I saw them was thirteen years ago,
when the first part of the saga arrived to the cinemas.
The movies
are based on the novels written by J.R.R. Tolkien. Both of them (movies and
novels) tell the story of The Middle Earth, a magical place populated by elves,
dwarves, hobbits, orcs, ents, wizards, and lots of magical creatures. One day
Frodo Baggins, a hobbit who lives in The Shire, finds a powerful ring without
noticing how dangerous it could be to have the ring. Gandalf the Grey visits
him and tells Frodo the ring has to be destroyed, but it can only be done with
the flames of Mount Doom in Mordor. This
is how Frodo, Gandalf and a group of hobbits begin their long journey to
Mordor, to destroy the ring. But through this journey they have to confront
evil forces that will try to stop them, doing whatever it takes. Also they
receive help from different creatures such as elves, dwarves and ents.
I really
like these movies because they are part of the few ones that really show what
the book tries to say, the scripts are really attached to the books, and they
have great visual effects. I also like
these movies because they teach you that it doesn’t matter how little or weak
you are, what really matters is how hard you try to get what you want, and what
do you want to do with it. Important things are not easy to get, but they are
worth the effort.
That’s all
for today, thanks for reading c:
